To members and residents of Seven Isles,

First and Foremost, a special thank you to active members of the HOA for your continued support of the HOA and the Security Fund. The Seven Isles Homeowners Association manages the Security Fund and is active with the City of Fort Lauderdale involved with “community betterment”. The Board is elected at the annual meeting each year. We all work voluntarily. The primary source of income for the Security Fund is membership dues, the objectives of which are as follows:

  • Security Services by a private Security Firm (with a Patrol Car)
  • Off Duty FLPD Officer with Squad Car
  • Maintenance of the guard house and surrounding area

We as a Board, and as a community, have to ensure that the HOA is getting the most value and professionalism for our expenditures. It is in that spirit that we invited a select number of security firms active in South Florida to submit bids to the HOA as we looked at renewing the contract with our current provider.

The bid process and vendor evaluation needs to be done on a periodic basis not only from a fiduciary responsibility standpoint, but also from the perspective of ensuring that the security firm has the requisite licenses at all times and without interruption as required by state law, management strength, resource availability and wherewithal to operate at all times consistently, continually, and without interruption. It is absolutely paramount for our security company to not only have the scale and bench strength, but also the ability to foster employee loyalty, in order operate a robust and dependable operation going forward.

An extensive bid process was carried out in a fair and equitable manner, and the evaluation criteria were thorough.

Accordingly, we are announcing that effective November 1, 2018, Admiral Security will be the provider of security services to Seven Isles. We would also like to inform you that every effort is being expended to ensure that our current security guard team is given the opportunity to join Admiral Security if they so desire. As we all know, the full-time security guards are an integral part of the Seven Isles family and their dedication, efforts, and commitment to our community have been phenomenal and are greatly appreciated. We are currently working with both Loukan and Admiral to ensure a smooth transition over the coming few weeks. We will provide you with an update in two weeks.

We would like to thank Loukan Security for the many years of service to our community and wish them the best in their future endeavors.

Based on FLPD statistics and reports, Seven Isles continues to be the safest community in Fort Lauderdale. This is in spite of the fact that there has been a troubling increase in incidents in the surrounding areas. Seven Isles enjoys the secure and safe environment we live in due to the security services the community is able to fund for itself.

Please reach out to anyone of the Board Members with any questions.

With Regards,
The Seven Isles HOA Board
