Five years ago, upon visiting Fort Lauderdale and contemplating asking the most beautiful girl in the world to marry me, I made an important decision. Not only would I ask her to marry me, but that I wanted us to live in the most beautiful city I’d ever seen! I not only married her, but we also made our life here in Fort Lauderdale where we have loved residing in both Victoria Park and Middle River Terrace.
Madelyn and I are both from Cartersville, Georgia, a small town on the northwest side of Atlanta. We originally met in elementary school and later reconnected in college at the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!). I asked her to marry me with the help of the Festival of the Lion King’s cast at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we even later had engagement pictures taken along Las Olas. Fort Lauderdale became even more special to us right after our 6 year wedding anniversary by welcoming our first baby, Evie Lane, into the world in October 2024. Our house is now full of love and chaos with a new baby and our 4 original babies (our doodles).
Because of our love for the community and wanting to maintain its beauty, Madelyn and I started a trash can cleaning company together called Can Cleanse. We have a truck fully outfitted to perfectly clean and sanitize residential outdoor trash cans to make sure neighborhoods around the area don’t overly stink or attract unwanted pests. While walking through the city with our dogs, we spotted a need. We love getting to meet new people and customers while out on our routes in order to build new relationships within Fort Lauderdale. We work with residents, airbnb owners, and property management companies alike and even offer trash valet services to further help other local businesses continue to thrive!
We also just added an additional service for window cleaning called Window Cleanse. We use a four-stage filtering system that allows your windows to be cleaned quickly and leaves your windows spotless. This eco-friendly process is better for your windows, home, shrubs, kids, and pets!
