The Annual Meeting of the Seven Isles Homeowners Association, Inc will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at the Riverside Hotel 620 E Las Olas Blvd. The event will commence in the Executive Tower, 8th Floor, with an optional networking social hour from 6pm – 7pm, including a cash bar. The Annual meeting will be conducted from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. The meeting will include updates on the sewer breaks from Commissioner Glassman, District 2. Guest speakers will then take the floor to talk about king tides and what the City is doing about it. Resources and handouts will be provided for all attendees.
Speaker Dr. Keren Bolter is an Urban and Coastal Resiliency expert for Arcadis, US, and a well known South Florida consultant who has presented her research and models on NBC, PBS, National Geographic, the History Channel, and the Weather Channel. Speaker Dr. Nancy Gassman is Assistant Public Works Director for Sustainability for the City of Ft Lauderdale, where she implements sustainability, climate mitigation and adaptation strategies within government operations and throughout the City. Together Dr. Bolter and Dr. Gassman will provide guest presentations followed by a question-and-answer period.
In addition, annual updates on security and safety will be delivered by our off-duty Ft Lauderdale police officer as well as a representative from our private security company, Admiral. We will also collect nominations for the board of directors of the homeowners association. Homeowners can volunteer to serve on the board for the coming year. Residents are encouraged to arrive at the annual meeting on time, as space is limited. Self-parking is available in the garage or in public lots across the street, or along the street.
