Annual MeetingFirst of all the entire HOA board would like to thank all of our neighbors who made the effort to join us for our annual meeting. We would also like to thank Fort Lauderdale Commissioner Steve Glassman for bringing us up to date on many important issues going on in our neighborhood and district.
The meeting started out with opening statements from HOA President Howard Steinholz who then turned over the evening’s agenda to HOA Board member Omar Altaji who managed the pace of the meeting quite adeptly.

We had many exciting events happen this past year. Our very own community website was launched in June. Our hope is to have the site act as a conduit providing valuable information to our residents in a timely manner. We also hope that residents will contribute to the site with whatever content they feel will be interesting and/or beneficial to the community. We also had our annual Halloween parade which is always a community favorite. American Social Restaurant was kind enough to provide us with a cocktail party which gave us the opportunity to see old friends and meet new ones. We hope to do more events like this in 2019.

Looking forward at 2019 one of our biggest goals is to increase HOA participation. It was discussed that potential members may be unaware of what the HOA provides. Yes providing security and peace of mind to its residents is a large perquisite but the HOA provides additional benefits to its members including but not limited to:

  1. Assistance during emergencies as possible
  2. Liaise with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department
  3. Patrol Neighborhood and provide vigilance on open garage doors, unsecured cars, other irregularities
  4. Moving Refuse Containers back and off of the street after collection by city services
  5. Secure piled up mail / packages
  6. Provide “vacation watch” services while members are out of town
  7. Landscaping Services and maintenance of general areas
  8. Manage issues surrounding construction, contractors on our streets, parking etc..
  9. Social Events – Meet & Greet
  10. Annual Halloween Parade
  11. Committees in support of betterment of the community
